This pixelated drawing is best viewed from a distance of 7 metres or more as it is the point at which the pixels start blending to reaveal the image. The darker the room, the clearer the image becomes.
I chose to draw Uncle Jack Charles in pixels as a sign of respect. The altered representation of his face symbolises trying to remember him, and him not being completely present. It is as though he personally chooses when to appear clearly and when to be almost indiscernible.
